Effective: [date these terms take effect]
This explains what information Site Hustle collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain and complete.
1. Who we are
Site Hustle is a service of Responsiv Agency, registered in New Jersey, at 712 West Ave, Ocean City, NJ 08226. For anything about your information, email [support email].
We decide how information about our users (people with a Site Hustle account) is used. For the websites our users build for their clients, we handle information about those websites' visitors (such as contact form messages) on behalf of our user and their client.
2. What we collect
About you, when you use Site Hustle:
- Your name, email address and password (stored scrambled, never in plain text).
- Your answers when you join: the kind of business you want to work with, your town, and your goal.
- Your membership and payment status. Card details go to Stripe, never to us.
- What you create: leads you save, sample and live sites, photos and logos you upload, pitches, notes, follow-ups and templates.
- Basic technical information, such as when you last logged in, and error details if something breaks, so we can fix it.
About businesses: public business details (name, address, phone, hours, website, ratings) from Google's listings, so you can find and pitch them. We keep only what we need and what you confirm.
About visitors to the sites our users build:
- Messages sent through a site's contact form: the name, contact details and message the visitor types. We also keep a scrambled code made from their internet address, only to stop spam.
- Visitor counts. We don't use cookies for this. Each visit gets an anonymous code that changes every day, so we can count visitors without recognising anyone, plus where they came from (such as Google or Facebook) and whether they used a phone or computer.
- If a business owner leaves comments on a sample using the review link, their comments and the name they type.
3. Cookies
Site Hustle uses one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The websites our users build don't set cookies either, except that content from other companies placed on a site (a Google map, a YouTube or Vimeo video, or a booking calendar such as Calendly) may set that company's own cookies.
4. How we use information
- To run Site Hustle: your account, building and hosting sites, delivering contact form messages, and showing visitor counts.
- To take payments and manage memberships.
- To keep things secure and stop spam and abuse.
- To support you, fix problems and improve Site Hustle.
- To send emails you need, such as password resets, owner review alerts and contact form messages.
- To send a short daily email with your next step in Site Hustle, based on your goal and your account (you can switch it off in Settings or with the unsubscribe link in every one).
- To send a monthly visitor report for your live sites (you can switch it off in Settings), and to make each site's private report page, which shows only totals, never anything about individual visitors.
- Marketing emails (tips, offers and news) only if you said yes. You can stop them any time in Settings or with the unsubscribe link in every email.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
5. Our reasons (for people in the UK and EU)
- Our contract with you: to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to keep Site Hustle secure, improve it, and show business details from public listings so our users can find work.
- Consent: for marketing emails. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legal obligations: such as keeping payment records.
6. Who we share information with
We use these companies to run Site Hustle. They may only use the information to provide their service to us:
- Railway: hosting, database and photo storage (in the United States).
- Stripe: payments.
- Resend: sending emails.
- Anthropic (Claude): writing website text and pitches. What you ask the AI, and the site details needed, are sent to it.
- Google: business search and details, website speed scores, maps on sites, AI videos (Gemini/Veo; the photo or description you choose is sent), and AI pictures for the Launch & Growth Kit (Gemini; a short description of the picture is sent).
- Unsplash: stock photos. Unsplash is told when a photo is chosen, but not who chose it.
If you use talk to text, your browser turns speech into text. In Chrome this is done by Google, and in Safari by Apple, under their own privacy policies; the audio doesn't come to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a company that takes over Site Hustle.
7. Where information is kept
Site Hustle is run from the United States, and the companies above mostly store information there. If you're outside the US, your information is transferred to the US. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. [lawyer to confirm the transfer safeguards]
8. How long we keep it
- Your account and what you create: while you have a membership. 7 days after your membership ends, we delete your sites and your work (leads, pitches, follow-ups, templates, photos and contact form messages). Your name, email and login stay until you delete your account (Settings, Delete my account) or ask us to.
- Sample sites stop working after 30 days unless published, and are deleted 3 days later, with their photos and any messages.
- Contact form messages: as long as the site exists.
- Visitor counts: 13 months.
- Error reports: 90 days.
- Owner review comments: as long as the sample or site exists.
- Payment records: as long as tax law requires (Stripe keeps these).
- The name and email on an order form that was never paid: 7 days.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- Show you the information we have about you, or give you a copy.
- Correct it.
- Delete it (unless we must keep it, for example for tax records).
- Stop or limit how we use it, or object to it.
- Stop marketing emails (you can also do this yourself in Settings).
Email [support email] and we'll reply within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. People in California have these rights under the CCPA; we don't sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines it. In the UK and EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Business owners and website visitors: if your business appears in a sample site and you want it removed, or you sent a message through a site built with Site Hustle, contact us and we'll help, usually together with the web designer who made the site.
10. Keeping information safe
Information is encrypted on its way to and from Site Hustle, passwords are stored scrambled, and only the people who need access to run the service have it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect your information, and we'll tell you if a breach affects you.
11. Children
Site Hustle is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change applies.
13. Contact
